Yesterday I was heading out to the office, locking up and feverishly checking my phone to make sure work was getting done, when I turned around and noticed that the little rose bush which creeps over the fence to say hi every spring with exactly one bloom brought with it a whole cluster of lovely red rose blooms. I am so caught up in the madness I forgot it’s spring! Or last week when I opened the curtains of my study to a backyard covered with tangled wild flowers and bushes and a fence lined with dense ivy and pink roses. In between the madness I forget how lovely it is to experience spring with the flowers. I’m grateful to live surrounded by wild, unexpected blooms of loveliness; roses that grow in the concrete.
